Am I good?

Am I really good?

When others say, “You are really good”, I ask this question to myself. I keep on asking this question to myself, often.

What is meant by being good?

Is it doing something in favour of someone? Is it pleasing others?

We people are working here, doing good to our project, managers, company. Like this, everybody in this world are doing their duty or doing something. If being good is doing favourable things and pleasing others, all are good.

What makes a person good?

Then, I had a deep thought. Is doing good is not harming others? How many times i’ve hurt my parents, friends and others with my words? How many times I got angry? Have I been good at all time? Then, am I bad?

Well, being good depends on the situation at that time. Does it mean that I can’t be good at all time?

Aah!! I’m confused again. Then, I stopped analysing over what is good and what is bad.
But whenever someone says, “you’re good”, I still have the habit of asking the question to myself. :)

Because, it stops me from being bad, getting angry and losing my temper.
Now ask yourself. Am I good?

Awesome!

To my experience, being good is just not being bad at a situation which u certainly need to act good. And Being rude/anger at a situation where u r required to be so, also means that u r good. Being good is acting to what exactly u r required to do. The thrill is in finding the requirement!!

Am I right?

it is hard to satisfy everyone at the same time so i guess it is just about setting ur priorites right and act according to ur priorities ;) .....be what u want urself to be and never regret 4 what u are :P

I think you cant be good to all.. but being good to your self (I mean Manasaatchi, If there was one) is very important.. If you have one, and you are true to that, you ll be good... I am following that and I am happy always.. :)

there r a couple of things.

1. feeling good
2. being good
3. doing good(be it social work or something you are good at)

best thing is, everything is interrelated. Although goodness is subjective, its also symbiotic. When u feel good, it makes other feel good too. when u do good, no questions there. Instead of asking "am i good?", just be urself. if it invokes the good nature in others, then u've no reason to ask the question.

just my 2 cents
